Senior Trade Commissioner - Consul General
Kirsten Sayers has been Australia’s Senior Trade Commissioner to France, Belgium and Luxembourg since January 2006.
Kirsten is an international business executive with experience in a range of public and private sector roles. Her strengths include marketing, law, business development, alliance management, and leadership in an international business environment – especially Asia which has been her primary focus for many years.
Her educational qualifications include a Master of Laws in Comparative and International Trade Law, a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts.

Peter James Rasmussen - Frankfurt
Direct Report Senior Trade Commissioner/Consul General
Peter joined the Australian Trade Commission from outside government in early 2006. His primary responsibility is export trade development with and on behalf of Australian companies within the major developed markets of western Europe. The posts that he manages in this context are in Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Amsterdam.
Prior to joining Austrade Peter worked in a variety of industries spanning imaging, brewing, electronics, fashion retail, textiles and heavy engineering sectors.

Tim Gauci - Milan
Senior Trade Commissioner
Tim Gauci is currently the Consul General & Senior Trade Commissioner based in Milan, Italy. As the Consul General he is responsible for Northern Italy and as Senior Trade Commissioner is responsible for all of Italy, Cyprus and Malta.
Prior to being posted to Milan Tim was the Minister Counsellor (Commercial) Senior Trade Commissioner in Vietnam. Tim has been living and working in Asia for over 9 years holding senior management positions with Pacific Access, Telstra & the Australian Government. Tim has management and commercial experience across a wide range of sectors including publishing, communications, fashion and design, manufacturing and data management and has worked in Vietnam, Japan, India and Singapore.

Thijs has sailed various yachts since he was 10 years old due to the navy background of his family.
